ALMA DEGROOT (nee GORITZ) Surrounded by her family, Alma passed away at St. Boniface Hospital on September 24, 2004, at the age of 73. She lived a courageous life. She will be missed by her loving husband of 51 years, Stan, her dance partner. She is also survived by her daughters, Karen (John), Judith (Kurt) and son Robert; her brother John (Ruth) of Calgary; and sisters, Lil and Elsie; as well as 11 grandchildren, extended family and friends. Alma was predeceased by her parents, and infant daughter, Sheila Ellen. Alma was born in Browning, SK, December 31, 1930, the second of four children to Adolf and Lydia Goritz (Mehling). In 1950, she received her LPN Diploma. Alma enjoyed flower gardening and playing Bridge and Whist with local seniors. The family would like to thank Dr. Warrian and all other staff of the intensive care unit of St. Boniface Hospital. A memorial service will be held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 28, at Green Acres Chapel. Interment of urn will take place on Wednesday, September 29, at 9:00 a.m. in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. STANLEY (STAN) de GROOT 1928 2006 Unexpectedly passed away, in the presence of his family, at St. Boniface Hospital, on Thursday, September 28, 2006.
